The Fight

The Fight

Once there was a village that had a problem. The river birds were

fighting over who was coming first, night or day.

Who do you think will go first?

Maui came along. The birds asked Maui who should come first.

Maui said, “I have an idea. You should take turns going round and round going night, day, night, day.”

Their problem was solved by Maui.

In the backfield of Nayland Primary School there is an ecohut. It was two months ago that we built it. We built it for an ecohut competition and for the children to play on.

It is not very big but maybe you could squish a whole class in each of the huts. The two huts are almost the same size.

The ecohuts are made of hard wood. The windows are glass, they are see through. It is not comfy in the bottom one as it is cold because of the concrete. The top one is comfy and warm because it has carpet

There are two huts. One is underground and one is on stilts.

On the bottom ecohut you climb the steps, then you get on the roof of the bottom hut walk along it and climb the small bridge then you are in the top ecohut. You can go down the pole onto the tyre and walk off it.

The chicken coop is beside the underground hut and underneath the top hut. The chickens are named after our old principals who are Isobelle, Janice and Darryl. They live in a chicken coop. They are special chickens because they are heritage chickens.

I like the ecohut because I think the chickens are cute. I love them.

Poppy

Poppy is a puppy. She is ten weeks old. She is coming to school.

She is small, fluffy and white. She has dark paws and nose and sharp teeth. Poppy has a red collar.

Poppy is learning how to bark and Poppy likes to chew. Poppy likes the company of Room 10.

She is a West Highland White Terrier.

When we were leaving for assembly she barked. It sounded like a mouse.
