I missed Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows Part 2. I did not fly anywhere. My Dad went to Christchurch for work.
Snow
“Are we there yet?”
“A little bit further.”
“I’m squashed next to the Hong Kong lady.”
Then I asked, “I just wanted to say Hi.”
“By the way, how many more people are coming with us?”
“15 people.”
“Where are they from?”
“Hong Kong, China, Maylasia, that’s all I can remember.”
“Here we are at the snow. Let’s catch the bus but I want to play.”
“Go now. But…”
“No buts. We’ll give you some Hong Kong noodles on the way to the bus.”
30 minutes later… Finally:
“WOW” Snow.
“Let’s have a snowball fight.
Later Caleb said, “Look at that huge big hill. Give me a sledge. I’m climbing up.”
“This is going to be easy.” Me and my big mouth.
“Here’s a good spot. Nooo, don’t take photos.”
“Yes,” Mum said.
“OK.”
“Yes, weeee…”
Crash, Boom Bang.
“Ouch, that snow is wicked man. But way too white.”
“Did we pack plasters?”
“Here you go.”
“Thanks Mum.”
“Let’s build a snowman.”
“Get a little snowball. Put it on the ground. Then roll it. Put that there. Done.”
“This snow feels cold. It looks so white.”
“Let’s go home.”
“I’m cold,” I said.
“Here’s a timtam.”
“Thank you.”
“Come on. Hop on the bus.”
30 minutes later…
Rainbow Ski Field is the place to be.
